CLAIR runs workshops, roundtables, and retreats that are designed to move work forward. Some are traditional panels. Many are not. The goal is simple: put serious legal thinkers in the same room long enough to produce better scholarship and better institutional ideas.

A working retreat balancing structured feedback sessions with long writing blocks and collaborative time. A four-day retreat with accommodation and meals provided, plus a $1,000 honorarium.

CLAIR at Harvard Law School: Law and AI Risk Governance

CLAIR co-directors gave a student-facing talk hosted by the Harvard Law AI Student Association and the AI Safety Student Team. The session focused on legal research and real governance problems rather than science fiction scenarios, with time reserved for Q&A and concrete entry points for students who want to work on law and advanced AI risk.

Inaugural Roundtable on AI Safety Law

April 25–26, 2025 · University of Alabama School of Law

A two-day scholarly roundtable convening roughly two dozen legal academics and researchers working on governance for catastrophic and existential AI risk. The program spanned foundations, liability, alignment, litigation, rights, and international governance.
