CLAIR's Writers' Retreat is a working retreat for scholars and practitioners writing at the intersection of AI, law, and policy. The format is intentionally different from a standard conference: fewer polished presentations, more focus on developing ideas, and long blocks of protected writing time. The retreat also builds the research network that makes follow-on collaboration possible.
A four-day retreat in the Texas Hill Country, with accommodation and meals provided plus a $1,000 honorarium.
How It Works
- Friday is for arrivals, introductions, and goal-setting, followed by a shared activity and an informal evening.
- Saturday is built around roundtables with short presentations and Q&A, plus structured breaks and outdoor time.
- Sunday shifts toward writing and collaborative work sessions.
- Monday morning is breakfast and departures.
